Arjun Khara is an information design researcher, residing in London. He is also co-founder of the Centre for Communication & Information Literacy, which he started together with Deepa Vijayan, in Singapore, in 2005, after graduating with a Bachelors (Golden Key Hons.) in Communication, Media, and Culture from the University of South Australia. Arjun is also an Adobe Certified Professional, and has taught graphic design and communication strategy to governments, Fortune 100 and 500 organisations, technology companies, financial firms, and SMEs in Southeast Asia, China, and India.
Arjun moved to London in 2017 to study on a Masters in Computer Games Design at Goldsmiths, University of London, finishing with distinction, and becoming the valedictorian orator for that year’s graduating cohort. Arjun is currently a PhD researcher, and sessional lecturer, at the Department of Typography and Graphic Communication, University of Reading. His thesis, ‘Facilitating fairness in government-citizen communication in Singapore’, is supervised by Prof. Gerry Leonidas and Dr. Fiona Ross. Arjun also manages a YouTube channel, teaching and discussing web design.
